Post Surgical Rehabilitation

Post Surgical Rehabilitation

Physiotherapy after surgery should begin immediately in the hospital, however, it is important that once you have been discharged you continue with physiotherapy to achieve the best possible recovery.

Anyone who has had surgery and is experiencing pain, stiffness, reduced balance and coordination, muscle weakness, reduced mobility and reduced independence will benefit from a rehabilitation programme once discharged from the hospital.

In conjunction with your consultant's recommendations, your Physiotherapist will work with you to create short-term and long-term goals to help you maximise your recovery potential and reduce secondary problems to surgery.
