Here at our Killarney based clinic we specialise in the treatment and rehabilitation of a wide range of musculoskeletal problems. We use cutting edge, evidence based methods, to put you on the road to recovery and achieving your goals.
Problems that we commonly see here at our clinic include back and neck pain, peripheral joint pain (hip, knee, shoulder etc.), sports injuries (ligament and tendon sprains, muscle strains), lower limb and foot problems (biomechanical or otherwise), and women’s health issues such as pelvic pain and other pregnancy related issues, peri and post menopausal problems and incontinence. Our holistic approach includes conventional tried and tested manual therapy, dry needling, Pilates and, an essential component to prevent re-injury or recurrence, rehabilitation through exercise. All of our techniques are evidence based, and in keeping with current and up to date scientific guidelines.
In 2017 we expanded our services to include an Occupational Therapy facility, providing assessment and therapeutic intervention to children and adolescents with complex and varied needs.
When you book an appointment with us at Kerry Physiotherapy you are guaranteed to be treated by a chartered physiotherapist who has been accredited by the Irish Society of Physiotherapists (ISCP). You are also guaranteed to be treated in a private treatment room, where you will have the full attention of your physiotherapist for the entire duration of your physiotherapy appointment. We advise our clients to attend their appointment dressed in appropriate apparel, such as loose clothing that can be moved comfortably in.
Treatment here at our clinic is focused very much around manual hands on therapy and rehabilitative exercise prescription. Rather than relying on the use of devices or machines we have some specialist machines (RPW) that treat certain conditions and we use these only when indicated. Our physiotherapists specialise in the full and complete rehabilitation of our clients, with regular follow-ups to ensure that your recovery is permanent.
We also offer other services including one-on-one or group personal training sessions with a certified strength and conditioning specialist. This can be facilitated here in the clinic or at a location of your choice, such as the gym, pool or pitch. We provide nutritional advice and specified exercise programs for clients of all levels of fitness, from those only starting out with a new exercise regime, to more experienced athletes recovering from injury, or aiming for their own personal goals.
Please take some time to browse our site and don’t hesitate to get in touch with any queries you may have. To make an appointment to see one of our chartered physiotherapists contact us via phone or email through the ‘Request an appointment’ tab on our home page.
